April 20-22, 2012
A Celebration of God’s Creation
Psalm 24:1-2: “The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.”
Connect with God’s glorious creation by celebrating Earth Day at Scottish Lakes High Camp for a weekend of ecumenical worship, fellowship, and discussions of creation care and Christian environmental stewardship. Neighboring Tall Timber Ranch will provide spiritual input, guided backcountry tours, and high quality meals. At 5,000 feet, the rustic backcountry site of High Camp offers a launching point to the mesmerizing Alpine Lakes Wilderness where God’s presence is amplified amidst the snowy mountains. Watch the sun set over Glacier Peak during evening vespers and sing to the God of Glory around the starlit campfire. The typical sunny weather and longer days of April will encourage elongated afternoons venturing onto the mountain slopes for backcountry skiing or snowshoeing. If your definition of adventure differs, then meditate by the fireside, fellowship with others, dip in the hot tub or relax in the sauna. The weekend is full of options that celebrate the glory of the Lord! We request that guests be at least 16 years of age.
