"Lord Teach Us to Pray" led by Roger Lee, the immediate past moderator of the Synod of Alaska Northwest
The spiritual formation opportunities of this retreat will give you portable personal tools, as well as tools for your congregation or prayer group. We will utilize the PC(USA) Lord, Teach Us to Pray. You will be able to consider, as well as taste, practices to help you, personally, and the groups you lead, in their spiritual formation. For those wanting to sample individual or group spiritual direction, opportunities will be provided. Pastors who register by September 1 will participate in choosing the individual and group topics for the retreat.
Retreat Leader's Background
Leadership will be provided by Roger Lee, an elder and spiritual director, and the immediate past Moderator of the PC(USA)Synod of Alaska Northwest. He received his spiritual director training at the Vancouver School of Theology, one of the seminaries at the University of British Columbia.
He has taught a variety of classes to introduce spiritual formation to groups. These classes included: the Labyrinth, Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, Contemplation During Career Years, Social Justice and Meditation, Praying the Newspaper, Travel and the Faith Journey, Current Events.
