Youth In Leadership Training
ARE YOU READY
Are you ready for in-depth discipleship and developing your leadership potential? Then you will want to apply for the YOUTH IN LEADERSHIP TRAINING Program held at Tall Timber Ranch. It can be your first step into many rewarding experiences in camp counseling, and leadership roles in your church, school, and future.
A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE
YOUTH IN LEADERSHIP is an exciting two week long course designed to challenge and stimulate promising young Christian leaders. A select group of students will live and work closely together. The first week will be spent in leadership training and personal growth experiences, and the last week in counseling roles at the Junior Camp for 4th through 6th grade campers.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
CHALLENGE is the key word for YOUTH IN LEADERSHIP - in every aspect of your life!
- PHYSICALLY: ropes course, rock climbing, backpacking......and crazy fun
- SPIRITUALLY: Bible study, worship, prayer, and a SOLO time of personal reflection and goal setting
- RELATIONAL: close and supportive Christian friendships
- LEADERSHIP: teaching Bible study, sharing your faith, counseling, volunteer services, and games
- APPLICATION: putting it all together with the JUNIOR CAMP
WHO CAN GO
If you've grown because of a leader or counselor's love and guidance, and are now eager to reach out in love to help others, then you are ready for YOUTH IN LEADERSHIP. Because the number is limited, you must apply and be accepted in the program. But don't let that scare you off! And remember - you may think your abilities are "not much", but God may see things differently, and have some great things to show you!
To qualify you must:
- Be an entering High School Sophomore or older
- Be eager for training and personal growth
- Profess a faith in Jesus Christ
- Submit a completed application
LEADERSHIP
Dave Vogee will be back to lead the YILT team. Dave has worked and volunteered at camp for many years. Dave has tremendous gifts and experience to contribute to YILT.
THE NITTY GRITTY
YOUTH IN LEADERSHIP runs July 11-21, 2010. The cost is $305.00 before May 1 and $325.00 after May 1. If cost is a problem for you, talk to your pastor about a sponsorship. Applications should be to us by May 21. You will be notified of acceptance by May 29. Please send complete applications.
